KUALA LUMPUR – The TikTok livestream stage is lighting up again as TikTok Music Night Asia continues this month with the theme of #UrbanBeats. On 29 and 30 June at 7:30 p.m. (GMT+8), TikTok users are invited to bust a move as they enjoy a range of Hip Hop and R&B beats from some of the greatest artists in Asia and beyond.
What was once a strictly American phenomenon has evolved across Asia, forming a new generation of artists who are focused on creating localized styles of rap, Hip Hop and R&B. Kickin’ it with performances from Travie McCoy of Gym Class Heroes, to 88Rising’s Warren Hue, emerging pop artist Alaina Castillo, and Sydney’s first Korean Rap crew ‘1300’ – this livestream will allow Malaysian fans to celebrate the dynamic history and evolving culture of Hip Hop and R&B beats together, only on TikTok.
The performances across 2 days will spotlight musical talents from across Asia, along with a few special international guests. Sheau Mei Cheah, TikTok Malaysia’s Music Marketing Lead, SEA was thrilled to comment “We’ve received excellent response to our past TikTok Music Night livestream events, especially with the global pandemic lockdowns in motion. TikTok’s reason for being has always been to promote creative self-expression, and musical talent makes up a large portion of our very talented creator base. We couldn’t be more excited to bring you more local acts, and invite you all to vibe with us for this celebration of Asian #UrbanBeats .”
Bringing Malaysia to the world stage, we have 4 Malaysian performers sharing their well-loved local sound to the rest of the region!:
